Fleisher-Ollman Gallery is an internationally established, premier source for outsider art. Its curatorial programming promotes and defines the community of self-taught artists by aiding aquisitions to major public and private collections. The design for the gallery’s new website was based around two main goals. To capture the renewed identity with an homage to the gallery’s deep roots in Philadelphia; To modernize the archive with the ability to support and promote a collection spanning 70 years of works, exhibitions, and history. The extensive collection of both available and exhibited works is now accessible to visitors through an easy-to-use search interface.
In revamping Fleisher/Ollman’s website we had particular desires that required a creative approach, both on the front and back ends. From our first meeting with GrayBits it was clear that they were not only willing, but eager to work with us on tailoring the design and CMS to fit our needs. They were organized, easy to communicate with, fast, and open to suggestions. We are thrilled with the gallery’s new site, and I look forward to a continued collaboration as the site grows.
